The easiest craft for Valentine’s Day with your toddler and preschooler. The Love Bug Hand Print Craft is a great way to save memories every year and to showcase new art up on the walls. Kids truly do love seeing their art and crafts displayed.
The LOVE Bug Hand Print Art
Both of my munchkins LOVE playing with paint throughout the week. They each chose the color for the body of their bug from about ten Valentine’s Day colors. Giving them choices and a say always helps with making them feel truly involved during our art activities.
Simply choose a body color and make the hand print. I use clear tape to secure our card-stock to the table. After waiting a minute or two(while each of them are off washing their hands) I flip the hand print around.
The hand print is now in Love Bug form and you can now have them choose colors for wings and head. I kept out our set of washable paints in Valentine’s Day colors and they each chose their next color.
The finishing touches are adding eyes with white(and then black if they want-mine chose against that-which I actually think makes them look creepy-BUT it was their LOVE Bugs).
