Pumpkin Carving: Toddler Approved

Raymond asks daily if we can go pick out pumpkins at the farm again. Vertuccio Farms is definitely a family favorite along with our annual trip to the Pumpkin and Chili Festival. Three years ago I was as big as a pumpkin at a local pumpkin patch, time sure does fly!

I love being able to capture these family moments year after year! Both toddlers were definitely hesitant to even sit next to the pumpkins this year. It took some not so gentle coaxing for them to even look inside. After watching me pull the “gunk” out for 10-15 minutes both decided that it can’t possibly be that scary and they actually started helping put the seeds in the buckets for me. So thankful that my little helpers got over their fears together AND that I got some help. We did carve four pumpkins this year. The husband did the actual carving and drilling of the pumpkins and both toddlers were less than thrilled with the results. I guess you can’t win every battle.

Happy Halloween Eve!
