Gabriel has been a tremendous help in every aspect of my life since I met him. He is strong, caring, intelligent and sensistive; which makes him my perfect partner in life(crime hehe). Gabriel has always had my best interest at heart throughout the past three years we have been together and he has helped me cope with the all of the stresses of life. I cannot wait to see him become a Dad this November!
In honor of him I have a couple of little surprises in store for this weekend to show just how much he means to me. This morning I put together all the “old school” toys that we have bought as decorations for our baby boy’s room. We don’t really have a “theme” for his room, and don’t really care to have one.
I went to the store and picked up a cute card that made me cry… stupid hormones- embarrassing at times to cry in public when you see something cute, but even more embarrassing when you are by yourself. <3
I then went and picked out small swim trunks and a sleeping outfit from the super hero Green Lantern. One of Gabriel and I’s favorites… for Gabe’s birthday the last two years I have gotten him Green Latern t-shirts… so baby and Dad will match!
I also picked up a humming bird feeder and syrup for Gabe to place in the backyard because he is the King of the Backyard and has been mentioning how he has wanted a feeder for some time now.
Gabe also gets a new t-shirt, pair of socks, a tie and a pound of his favorite coffee from Starbucks(gift certificate from students made that possible) from Baby and I for being such a SUPER dad-to-be!
I was thrifty and waited for every item to go on sale so that we were economical but hopefully all of the little things he gets this weekend will make him feel just as special as he deserves!
As I’m typing I have some rich, double chocolate cookies in the oven and movie passes from my soccer team on the counter for the Green Latern movie this weekend!
Pool time, smores tonight, movie sometime this weekend and enjoying the best man in the world’s company. I couldn’t think of any place I would rather be than with him this weekend!
