A Look Back
Sweet Em,
You are now five months old. Scarily close to being half a year old. Excuse me as I fight back tears. My dear you have grown leaps and bounds this last month!
You celebrated your first Christmas surrounded by family! You got to meet your Aunt Rachel, family and cousins from California. You loved every bit of all of the extra attention!
You are easily in all nine month clothes and are in 12 month footed sleepers. Growing like a weed just like your older brother!
You got your first tooth- yikes! You have been working on that tooth for the entire month and that pearly white is finally through! Seriously, one long day of extra rosy cheeks and BAM that beauty was here! You are definitely relieved. Not that you could tell that you were really upset…. you truly are the happiest baby in the entire world.
Not one day has passed in your tiny life where you didn’t greet us with a beautiful smile! I LOVE how much you show your admiration to your big brother too. You follow him around with your eyes, or if you are on the ground will pivot and roll until you are in line of sight- adorable. He loves giving you toys, kisses, and even cuddles if you start to fret in the late evening. You two already have a great friendship- one that I can’t wait to see grow as both of you get older!
You love when we read books! You enjoy your activity center-especially now that you can pivot to find your brother.
We started solids this past month and you eat a meal three times a day- whenever your brother eats. You would get sort of an attitude if he or I was eating and you weren’t… priceless.
You LOVE rice cereal with your mom’s milk. And will sort of eat bananas, sweet potato, and green beans. The thicker the consistency, the better. I am looking forward to giving you pieces of whole foods in the next month to continue with our Baby Led Weaning and homemade blended concoctions.
You babble and sing all day! You love to talk and cuddle!
