I detest gold fixtures. Detest may not even be a strong enough word to encompass my hatred for said gold. So after months of living with it… I AM DONE. And now it is all fixed. Thanks to some inspiration from the blog Young House Love. They are brilliant! So with one can of Rustoleum Metal Spray Paint I have now fixed the bane of my door existence. The pictures don’t do it quite justice but it is a dark grey when sprayed and called brushed nickel. Note: With doors that lock with a key-stick in said key-ahead of time-and paint with the key in it. The whole project has taken most of the day-dismantling 8 doors so far downstairs and repainting them… two coats… and putting them back together. I started working on the upstairs a tad but will continue tomorrow when Dirk is napping to finish it up. Seriously… 8 dollars… and the house looks like it is no longer from the 90s = HAPPY HOLLY!
