Goodwill was doing one of their half-off store events which are shall we say interesting. The AC doesn’t work very well and when you add more people there than technically should be accommodated- there is a 15 minute rule that I enforce. Either you go in looking for one specific thing- or you browse fast for a running list of things. The Running List currently: ties, children books, real wood chairs, wood framed mirrors, silver tray, Clive Cussler books, watermelon place mats, place mats in general, table runner, cake stand ware.
So with that in mind, Gabe and I speed walked through the sections- grabbed a designer tie for $1.50(has to look brand new-or we won’t buy it), large solid oak bowl for $2, two thick ice cream glasses for 45cents each, and two plates for 50 cents each. I made sure that the plates had some unique physical embellishments on them that would show-up when spray painted. We then went to Hobby Lobby with our 40% off coupon and got a can of white spray paint.
Step 1: Super Glue and place heavy books/objects on them. I left them for two hours.
Step 2: Spray paint two thin, equal layers about 30 minutes apart. I sprayed a large portion of our grass…. there was a breeze : ).
Step 3: Let dry, inside, over night & TADA- beautiful finished product!

I LOVE them and can’t wait to use them for Dirk’s 1st Birthday party!!!
