The dreaded week-long cold and fever are now down… temp is only 100 right now. Hopefully my little man will be feeling better so we can break out the costume and go gallavanting outside with some neighbors before taking refuge in our house with our five-count-em FIVE trick or treaters that we had last year. So instead of buying the Mac DADDY candy bag we resorted to a much smaller, less- expensive bag- hoping to not be one of “those” people who turn off their lights on Halloween as if to say “GO AWAY”.
So as you read this, I will be reading my sweet baby our Halloween books as he cuddles in my lap.
Our pumpkins are not carved. But we can do that later.
For tonight- there should be a little giraffe walking around the block. And I wouldn’t miss that for the world!
D almost got to share this day with a special someone, our beloved grandfather, Pompi, who passed away 12 years ago. Today we will be remembering his eternal smile, loving hugs and incredible sense of humor. May you all have a safe and Happy Halloween!
