If we were meeting for coffee it would probably be at Starbucks. Starbucks always reminds me of home, the Pacific Northwest. I am loving the Carmamel Brulee Latte- YUM. OR if you wanted a local favorite? Mama’s Cold Brewed Coffee is the bee’s knees. First Coffee Date & Second Coffee Date.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you about the Phoenix Flea Market. I was so excited to go this past Saturday, meet some of my favorite shop owners, say hi to a couple friends, and get my fill of Mama’s Cold Brewed Coffee. Delicious. I picked up a couple of gifts and treasures that I can’t wait to share with you!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I am one lucky girl that I get to do life with this man. After going to the Phoenix Flea Market we walked next door to go to the Phoenix Children’s Museum. Raymond and Emma Marie went bananas going through the drive-thru, racing cars, and playing house. They literally “played house” together for 45 minutes. They have always played nicely together but this was a sustained amount of time without saying, “Give that back,” or “That’s not nice,”. We were able to just take in the beauty of this age. I don’t ever want to forget how kind they are to one-another.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I woke up on my birthday Sunday morning with a hot venti caramel brulee latte, the sweetest note in the world, and this sparkly mug. One lucky gal. Thirty doesn’t look too bad. Aging doesn’t scare me- the white hairs that stand straight up do-but not the silver hairs. But I am definitely not against some hair dye… highlights? Ombre? Who knows.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that blowing out thirty candles is no easy feat. Raymond and Em tried their best to help but it still took 4-5 deep breaths to ease the flames. We had an icecream cake that is family approved and food allergy approved. YUM. The Jedi in the kitchen was waiting patiently for his piece and EM was gobbling it up as fast as possible.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that after two years it was time for a new pair of shoes. Khols was having a fabulous sale on shoes and so we stopped by before getting our family birthday meal at Chipotle. We need to buy stock in Chipotle. I’m not even kidding. Em loves these shoes. LOVES them.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I love handprint and footprint art. I make some for every season and am glad that Raymond is really loving art in the afternoon. I know that when they are older I will be able to put up their little hand’s and feet and cherish these memories.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you about collaborating with 71 other bloggers for #countdown2xmas. Every day there are three new posts, and FABULOUS snapshots on Instagram. You can follow along with me at: AsCuteAsABugsEar. I am excited about sharing my favorite gifts to give on Monday-stay tuned.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you how excited Emma Marie and Raymond are for this season. Raymond is beyond excited about seeing Santa, and asking for a train set. He also sings Jingle Bells and admires the tree daily. Emma Marie asks for the trees to be turned on every morning. She loves pointing out all of the ornaments and smelling the tree. Although it is fake, I added those smelling sticks that make it smell AMAZINGLY Christmasy- LOVE. Without the fear of scorpions, watering the tree, or pine needles falling. Win-Win. Oh and my eye’s don’t swell shut every morning. So yes, winning.

If we were having coffee this morning what would you tell me?

What would be your drink of choice?

Would love to hear from you!
