Zoo Trip

Em snuggled up quite a few times with Uncle Bill- some of the sweetest cuddles came after swim class on Saturday-unfortunately I didn’t snap a picture of the cuteness.

We were very blessed to be able to spend time with Uncle Bill this weekend! He is working in San Diego for two weeks and was able to drive over for the weekend- best weekend ever!

We started off our weekend at National Geographic Kid’s- one of the best(free) activities that both kids truly enjoy- snacks, crafts, singing and dancing-plus a free toy!

In the afternoon, Uncle Bill arrived and we headed off to the park. Cute side note: I had been telling The Toddler that Uncle Bill was coming to visit and I was in the laundry room and I hear him yelling “Uncle Bill- Uncle Bill” clear as day! I didn’t hear him knock and sure enough Uncle Bill was here! The Toddler was so proud to show Uncle Bill all of the flowers, every tree, and all of the toys on the big toy on the walk to the park.

They ran almost the entire way there and the entire way back- best workout ever- The Toddler was one happy, exhausted kiddo. Once we got home, the three guys headed off to Chipotle-something that they don’t have on Hawaii(and one of the only places The Toddler can eat out-not a big deal but it is pretty special for him). They picked up the food to the squealing delight of The Toddler… and I mean that quite literally- he put on a show for the people there with how excited and happy he was.

I fed Em her dinner, gave her a bath, and it was lights out before the three boys made it home. Apparently, Chipotle is a hopping place on Friday nights. Who knew?

Saturday was a relaxing day of swim lessons, a bbq outside, and watching basketball and soccer after the two little ones went to sleep. Can I tell you how priceless it was to hear the echoes of laughter waif through the house as I cleaned up downstaiirs? I loved seeing how much fun both of them were having at bath time! Adorable.

We also celebrated The Hubby’s 30th Birthday- but those details are for another post.

Sunday Funday included a trip to the zoo- The Toddler took joy in the fact that he could lead Uncle Bill around and show him his favorite spots. We were so thankful to be able to spend some time with family this weekend! There is something special about watching family happily play with your little ones. My smile still hurts, and my heart is full. Very thankful for Uncle Bill and a fabulous weekend full of family time!
