Valentine’s Day is FAST approaching and the perfect time to update the art on the walls! Every season I plan out crafts to place up on our gallery wall. Our first choice this year are Hand Print LOVE Trees! Check out this sweet and simple craft that you can gift to family members with a chocolaty surprise.
Valentine’s Day Hand Print LOVE Tree
Hand Print LOVE Tree
Supplies:
Paper Plates-Muffin Tins-Paint Plate
Card-stock Paper
Toilet Paper Roll
Tape
Valentine’s Day Sweets(for brain power AND fun)
Tape the toilet paper roll into a “heart” shape- I tried… and the kids LOVED it.
Raymond was really excited about being able to stamp with the heart and make heart leaves for our LOVE Tree.
A couple of fun treats and decorations to liven up our tablescape. The kids gasped when they saw the Valentine’s Day Craft set-up and I knew instantly that my small amount of prep-work made them feel extra special.
Now at four Raymond can do the hand print part all by himself. I let go of the need for perfection a long time ago and just want my kids to enjoy the art they create. BOY was he truly excited to do it all by himself AND goodness did he have fun.
Making sure that the hand was planted firmly. Needed to reapply another layer of red paint(he chose the color) as he wanted the hand print color to be darker.
Emma chose PURPLE for her LOVE Tree color(no surprise, it is her FAVORITE) and truly just loved smearing all sorts of paint colors on her tree. She said the leaves were flying in the wind and falling off of her tree. Love her imagination.
Washable paint for the win!
